2010 Winner

Jeremy, a fourth-grader from Chaparral Elementary School, Claremont, used water colors to produce the winning poster in the 2010 Water Awareness Poster Contest.  His poster emphasized the importance of water in farming by including a large droplet of water.  The farm scene featured a tractor in motion along with poultry, fruits and vegetbles.  Mrs. Loretta Wolfinbarger is Jeremy's teacher and she will receive $100 for classroom supplies.

Second Place Winner                   

2010---second-place-web.jpg Fourth-grader David from Sanger Academy, Sanger, captured the second-place award in the 2010 Water Awareness Poster Contest.  His picture depicted grapes hanging from rows of grapevines.  The vineyard is being furrow irrigated.  Of particular interest to the judges was the reservoir in the mountains located in the background.  Mrs. Arita Sodhi is David's teacher and she will receive $100 for classroom supplies.


 

 

 Third Place Winner

Fourth-grade student Kaitlyn from Promenade Elementary School, Corona, receives third-place for her poster of fruits, vegetables, livestock and field flowers.  A river runs through the farm providing the water needed to grow the crops.  Kaitlyn's teacher, Ms. Ra'Chel Harris will receive $100 for classroom supplies.
